JOY Club Vision
The primary vision for the
JOY Club discipleship ministry is teaching our children to memorize the
word of God and to count the cost of what they invest for the Lord
Jesus.
&
To present our relationship
with Christ as being a part of Gods family: with a heavenly Father who
loves us who deserves our trust, observing family traditions He has laid
down for us.
Encouraging fathers to see
what their children can become in Christ Jesus.
&
Looking for fathers/men who
will give themselves to the Lord, spending heart-to-heart time with
young people, and providing Biblical guidance in all areas of life.
JOY Club Vision is founded
in the Spirit of Elias
to turn the hearts of
the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom
of the just; to make
ready a people prepared for the Lord”. [Luke1:17b]
Note: This vision is
not intended to exclude mothers/women, but to restore in the eyes of
youth, as much as possible, a relationship with fathers/men.
Each year for the past
20-years we have continued a co-discipleship of parents and children in
the Community Bible Church body in the form of JOY Clubs.
The theme in the acronym
J-O-Y was picked to encourage our children to;
&
follow the Lord Jesus
first, no mater what.
&
know that the worship of
the Lord is primary and certainly foremost in the mind, soul and
strength, of the believer.
&
And that this would
manifest itself in the believers association with others, and in
obedient walk with the Lord.
